Teacher Feature

Hello, I am Linda A. Pressley-Manning and I’m from a little town in Williamsburg County called Hemingway. Life happened so now I live in Florence! Claflin College in Orangeburg is where I received my BS degree in Elementary Education and I went on to South Carolina State University, also in Orangeburg, where I received my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. This is my fifth year here at Thornwell but I have been teaching for more than 35 years. I taught in Williamsburg County for the majority of my teaching career. Yes! I still enjoy teaching. I have a son, his name is Tommie.  Tommie is a Graphic Designer and an Elementary Arts teacher in North Carolina. When I’m not doing school work, I enjoy traveling, shopping, dancing, sewing and relaxing at home. I am a member of Kingstree-Lake City Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Grand Gavel Chapter #378 Order of the Eastern Star and I attend church at Friendship United Methodist Church in Nesmith, SC which is my home church.
